Situation
This infographic was made as part of an assignment to create a one page infographic for any topic.

Task
I gathered relevant statistics in a text document before seeing how they would fit into a design. I also looked at other infographics to get some design inspiration and observe best practices.

Action
When designing the infographic, I had to work within Canva’s limitations for pictograms and data visualization. I experimented with moving around the data to present a story. I also experimented with AI generated images to create a hero image that matched the style of the infographic

Result
I believe the final design does a good job of telling a story about employment of young Autistic adults while also having small sections about related topics such as young Autistic adults who go to college. With more time, I would continue to work with the color palette and remake the visual hook to eliminate the visual inconsistencies created by AI.

Redesigning a Flyer

Situation
This was part of an assignment to find a flyer that’s sorely needed some visual assistance and redesign it.

Task
I chose a flyer I found online from the City of Frisco about residential solar panels. When analyzing the original flyer, I found that the content could be separated into two flyers, one to generate interest and another for more serious homeowners.

Action
I created two new iterations. One design is targeting homeowners who are at the beginning of the consideration process and has a more informal look and feel. The other is for homeowners who are farther in the decision process and want to learn about specific technical requirements and has a more plain style.

Result
The final fliers are more targeted content that meets the immediate information need, making the information more readable and more relevant.

Student Club Flyers

Situation
Most of these flyers were created when I was a graphic designer for a department in my university.

Task
Student clubs and professors would ask for flyers to promote their tutoring sessions, club events, and professional speaking events.

Action
On my assigned flyers, I used Canva and Adobe Illustrator to create custom, attention-grabbing designs which would be printed and displayed on digital announcement boards in the building.
04
Result
My designs brought attention to many clubs and special events while also giving students something to look at in the halls.
